A majestic American Bald Eagle alights on the banks of a river near Haines, Alaska. Another eagle lingers in the background, searching for prey in the river. Some lingering gore can be seen on the rocky beach. Eagles often feed on the banks of the river, eating away at their catch until it is small enough to fly away with to eat in the trees, safe from other bald eagles.
