Look closely as a Violet-tailed Sylph (Aglaiocercus coelestis) feeds off an orange flower while in flight in the Tandayapa Valley of Ecuador. Male Violet-tailed Sylphs are 3.2 inches longer than females. Violet-tailed Sylphs are solitary and do not gather at flowering trees.
