Christ Image With Setting SunThe Orange of sunset is a very powerful color when you take the time to watch the sun slip under the horizon. I was fortunate this evening to watch the sky glow under the monument to Christ on South Padre Island. To generate the magnified glow I used my 400mm wildlife lens to compress the image and the sky.

Lobster Buoys Of Peggy’s CoveLobster Buoys of Peggy's Cove - The colorful lobster buoys hanging on the side of a shack in Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia reminds us all of the importance of fishing to the maritime coasts of Canada. While these buoys may no longer be in service, the variances in design and color of each tell us that each belonged to a different fisherman.

We were lucky enough to find a clear day for a cruise from the northern shores of the island to enjoy not only icebergs floating in the North Atlantic, but a playful whale frolicking in the frigid waters.

Shipwrecked In NewfoundlandShipwrecked - It is amazing to see what the power of the sea can do in almost 100 years. In 1919, the Steamship Ethie ran aground along the coastline of Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park and all that remains today are some rusted metal components of the ship. We were happy to learn that all 92 passengers of this ill fated ship were successfully rescued. An HDR image helps capture the beautiful details of the ships boilers and wenches.
