HDR Pictures
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. A camera’s dynamic range is the minimum and maximum amount of light it can register at one time. HDR photos layer several pictures on top of each other to increase the dynamic range, resulting in vivid, high-definition images. HDR photos are perfect for ruins, lighthouses, mountain landscapes, sunrises, sunsets, and other subjects that demand to be seen in detail. All photos in our HDR gallery are available as stock photos or prints.

Lobster Pots And Lighthouse Showing Canada’s Fishing HeritageNo Name Cove and its unique lighthouse on the western coast of Newfoundland at dawn. All around Newfoundland are traces of its fishing heritage. Even today, the fishing industry plays a large role in the economy of Newfoundland and Canada as a whole.
The northerly waters around Newfoundland helped the Inuit population survive and thrive in this area. The fishing heritage of the region was established by the Inuits and adopted by the European settlers who eventually colonized the area for fur trading.
The fishing heritage has been the longest-lasting legacy of the Newfoundland area. Even today, the area produces much lobster and other seafood exports for the United States.

Shipwrecked In NewfoundlandShipwrecked - It is amazing to see what the power of the sea can do in almost 100 years. In 1919, the Steamship Ethie ran aground along the coastline of Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park and all that remains today are some rusted metal components of the ship. We were happy to learn that all 92 passengers of this ill fated ship were successfully rescued. An HDR image helps capture the beautiful details of the ships boilers and wenches.
