Bald Eagle and Child in Alaska

“One day, son, all this will be yours.” A bald eagle and its fledgling roost on a branch in the Chilkat Valley, against the backdrop of a vivid Alaskan sunrise.

The child won’t get its crown of white feathers until it’s at least four years old. Once officially “bald,” it will live for an average of fifteen more years.
