Brown bear mother feeds cubs

A grizzly bear mom stops to feed her hungry cubs in the grassy meadows near Silver Salmon Creek, Alaska.
Sows typically give birth to one to three cubs in early May through mid-July. Cubs stay with mother for at least 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years.
Brown bears are one of thirty seven species of terrestrial mammals that inhabit the Lake Clark region of Alaska.
