Grizzly Bear Cub on Log and watches Salmon

A young spring cub, relaxes on a log as its mother fishes for salmon on the Chilkoot River in Haines, in Southeast Alaska.

The young cub is looking for fish in the Chilkoot River in Haines, Alaska. Before it begins fishing for its own meals, the cub will sit on the banks and on logs while its mother fishes. This cub on a log is learning to spot fish in the river, while its mother does the real work of actually catching the fish.

As you can tell by the wet fur, the cub has been for a swim recently and is now relaxing.
