Sailors Delight at Peggys Cove

There is an old saying “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight, red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.” We had the delight of seeing this gorgeous red sunset over Peggy’s Cove from shore, so we didn’t have to worry about the veracity of the old rhyme.

Peggy’s Point Light can be seen in the foreground of the photo. This iconic lighthouse helped guide sailors into Peggy’s Cove for over 150 years.

Peggy’s Cove is located on the Eastern coast of St. Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia.
