A cub follows its mother through a stream near the Cook Inlet of Alaska. Female grizzly bears take care of their cubs for two or three years. Grizzly bears reach breeding maturity at about five years, but sometimes don’t breed until 8 or 9 years. Grizzly bears live to be about about 15 to 20 years old, although a few survive to up to 30.
