A serene Bald Eagle soars above the Chilkat river in Haines, Alaska. Bald Eagle’s wingspan is typically between 5 foot to 7 foot in length. The talons of a Bald Eagle’s hind toe are used to pierce the vital areas of its prey, while the front toes hold it immobile. Bald Eagles are opportunistic feeders and mainly eat fish.
