The Bar Harbor Lighthouse is also known by the name Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. This is because the light is one of the main landmarks in the small village of Bass Harbor.

This old lighthouse was built in 1858, and is located along the rocky shoreline of Acadia National Park, Maine. The Bar Harbor Lighthouse Keeper’s house is currently occupied by a U.S. Coast Guard member and their family.
