Buff-tailed Coronet Hummingbird

The Buff-tailed Coronet hummingbird (Boissonneaua flavescens) drinks the nectar of a Tiger Eye Flowering Maple, similar to a Chinese Lantern flower. The Buff-tail is easily identified with its buffy colored tail feathers and short bill. This species of hummingbird lives around 4500-7200 feet above sea level.
