Costa Rica Keel Billed Toucan

The keel-billed toucan, national bird of Belize, may have gotten its name from the way its bill resembles a ship’s keel.

The bill might look unwieldy, but it’s actually a useful multi-tool. This toucan can reach into a crevice, grab some fruit, chew it up, and swallow it whole in some motion. It’s quite the sight to see.
