This majestic lighthouse in front of a mountain is the Eldred Rock Lighthouse in Haines, Alaska.
On the journey from Juneau to Haines, Alaska, the Alaskan Marine Highway System ferry passes the Eldred Rock Light. This lighthouse was built in 1906. Due to the gold rush of Skagway, the Lynn Canal had four manned lighthouses to guide ships coming to this valuable port.
The Eldred Rock Lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
