Harris’s Hawk Perching

A Harris’s hawk flutters its wings, perching on a branch in the Rio Grande valley. Check out its white tail feathers, sharp talons, and even sharper stare.

It doesn’t look like the friendliest raptor, but the Harris’s hawk is one of the few birds of prey that hunts in a group.
