Scientists believe that the marine iguana is descended from mainland iguanas who clung to pieces of driftwood and floated out to sea. These great voyagers have loved the water ever since, and are perfectly adapted to feed on algae and seaweed.
That’s right: they might look like they’re ready to play the Game of Thrones, but these dragons are herbivores. They eat a lot of salt along with their veggies, and secrete it on top of their heads into crystalline white hats.
