Cathedral Mountain rises over the Chilkat River near Haines, Alaska. At sunset, the sun’s rays shone over the mountain, creating this beautiful scene.
It’s not clear where the name of the mountain comes from, but it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that an early explorer saw this same sunset and thought of the light through a cathedral’s stained glass.
