Three bald eagles fight over fish

Three bald eagles fight over a dead fish on the banks of a river in the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve in Haines, Alaska. These scavenger birds will scream and challenge each other over food. In an environment such as the Chilkat Preserve where there are many eagles living in close proximity, a bald eagle’s biggest threat may be its peers, who will challenge each other over food, territory, and mates.
