Two cute cubs hang out on a log next to a river in the Alaskan backcountry. Although they look fairly large, these cubs are only about six months old. They were born during the last winter, while their mother hibernated.
Baby bears quickly grow from cute cubs to large, lumbering adolescents by feeding at their mother’s breast. The mother needs to eat extra fish and berries in order to feed her offspring. These two cute cubs are waiting for their mother to finish fishing so that they can feed.
