These two eagles take flight from a river, causing a splash. These eagles are splashing their way into the air.
This photo was taken at the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve near Haines, Alaska. We visited the Bald Eagle Preserve while on a photography workshop, and had the opportunity to observe many bald eagles along the shores of this river. The eagles were not very friendly with each other, often splashing each other, chasing each other, and attempting to steal food.
