Bald Eagle defends territory – A bald eagle screams out a warning to defend its territory as it perches on a mossy tree in Southeast Alaska. The Chilkat Bald Eagle preserve attracts thousands of bald eagles to feast on fish during the last salmon spawn of the year. The massive congregation of birds makes for a spectacular sight as they fight over salmon and defend their territory along the banks of the Chilkat River.
